The Black Diamond Distance 1500 is a high-specification headlamp designed for serious adventurers, ultra runners, climbers, and mountaineers who need reliable light throughout the night. With its integrated PowerTap™ Technology, you can instantly boost the light output to 1500 lumens for short periods (e.g. route finding or spotting markers),while at the same time preserving battery life by returning to lower levels automatically.
Its constant-output programming ensures the light remains stable under sustained use, only dropping to reserve mode when battery levels are low. It features selectable brightness modes: high (800 lm),medium (300 lm),low (15 lm),plus the PowerTap burst.
The battery pack is rechargeable, magnetic, and interchangeable, allowing one-hand swaps even during movement. It includes a rear red flasher for visibility from behind. The Comfort Cradle™ mounting system hugs the head to reduce bounce, with integrated padding, and a top strap included for added stability in technical terrain. Helmet-compatible design completes the package.
Durability is solid: rated IP67 (dustproof and waterproof up to 1 m immersion for 30 min). Designed dimensions and weight make it substantial but manageable for overnight usage.
